Woody LaBounty

Woody LaBounty is the founder of the Western Neighborhoods Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the history of western San Francisco.

The author of Carville-by-the Sea: San Francisco’s Streetcar Suburb, LaBounty has been a recipient of the Dr. Albert Shumate Memorial Award in appreciation of outstanding dedication and devotion to the preservation of San Francisco history.

He often wears a hat, not for stylishness, but to protect his balding pate from sunburn.
